DISCLAIMER: This is NOT a controller to put into a "Gesture Layer Slot In The Avatar Descriptor. It is a layer that you put into your FX Layer to control your facial expressions and all animated bones and BlendShapes that are incorporated into the animation. It is NOT to control the animations of the hands.



Ever see an avatar that when it blinks, its eyelids go below the eye and clip an unbearable obvious amount? Or maybe you have seen an avatar that snaps between its gestures with no fluidity, no "smoothness"? I know I have. Thats what caused me to make this absolute BEHEMOTH, of a gesture layer. This is a gesture layer I consider to be the PERFECT gesture layer, consisting of 119 animator states, 118 of those have an animation within them, and 294 transitions between them. This layer COMPLETELY cancels out any and all overmaxing of a blendshape in the gestures, and has a fluid transition between each gesture, to each gesture. 42 Animations all tailor made for each gesture to transfer to and from the other static state gestures. Each gesture also possesses its very own blink animation so as to avoid that eyelid clipping into the lower half of the face. It also has a close eye toggle that closes the eyes, and has its own 42 transitions between all of the various gestures which also possess their very own animation for the close. It also possesses a way to override a gesture to be whatever you want it to be set as regardless of your hand gesture, a blinking toggle, an eye close toggle, and a way to turn off/lock the system in place.

I will warn you, This asset requires a hefty amount of time to implement as it would entail the recreation of most if not all of the animations depending on the model you are using.
It is time costly and experience costly. Thus it being free XD. While it looks scary, its just a lot of simple things.

How to apply:

*You will need AV3 Manager for the FX layer, Parameters, And Menus.

After you have used the AV3 Manager to apply it to your FX layer, Open the indicative folder in your assets, and open the folder dubbed "Anims". Select the first animation, then shift select the last animation in the folder. Then proceed to drag it onto the Rt Of your avatar in the hierarchy. (PAY ATTENTION TO NAMES. IF YOU DONT IT WONT LOOK RIGHT.). Then its a matter of creating the gestures themselves. In the animations dubbed: "Gesture 1" , "Gesture 2" -> 7, and " Gesture 1 Close", "Gesture 2 Close" -> 7. These will be the static states. The unmoving versions of the gestures. After those are created you are all set for the creation of all of the transition animations between them all.

After the animations have all been modified, there is no need to go into the FX Layer at all as the animations are already set in their. The only thing you would ever need to change in it, is if you want to have it on your right hand instead of the left, in which case it will become exponentially more tedious as you would need to go through at least 50 transitions to change the parameter "GestureLeft" to "GestureRight". Tedious. Yes. Worth it? If you have a Hatred towards bad gesture layers and snap animations, YES.
